Counselor in Training (CIT)
The Counselor in Training (CIT) program at Many Point Scout Camp has been designed to develop the future staff members for Many Point and to provide personal development for Scouts. Many Point has been continually rated as one of the top camps in the nation; this outstanding record is due largely to the quality of its staff and the continued development of future staff members.
CITs spend five weeks living and working with the staff of Many Point. Through close association, they will learn the challenges and fun to be had of being a Many Point Staff member first-hand.
Benefits
In return for registering, we'll cover the lodging, food, and training needed. Staff will be guiding you during your entire 5-week stay.
CITs will learn valueable life skills, experience personal and professional development, and have oppotunities to work on Scout advancements like BSA Lifeguard and merit badges while at camp.
Requirements
The CIT program is open to all youth who will be at least 15 years old during the summer that they are a CIT. Like camp staff, both young men and women are encouraged to be CITs. Adults should instead apply to be a full-time staff member.
Cost
The cost to be a CIT in for our Scouts BSA camps is $100. $50 is due at the time of registration and the remaining $50 is due by June 1st.
The cost to be a CIT at Family Camp is $50 for the entire 2-week stay. The full $50 fee is due at the time of registration.
Family Camp
Our Family Camp also runs a CIT program! For two weeks, you'll learn more about our Family Camping Program and what it means to be a Many Point Staff member in this condensed version of our regular CIT program.
Register
Each summer there are two sessions, but each session is limited to 20 participants so interested Scouts should apply quickly. The dates for the this year’s sessions are:
Session 1: June 16 – July 20, 2024
Session 2: July 14 – August 17, 2024
